Rustic modern Small HOUSE - 2024
This 40 sqm house offers a perfect escape to the countryside. The original building, erected in the 1980s, received a stone extension in 2024 to house a bedroom opening onto a beautiful terrace with a glass railing. The architectural concept aimed to integrate the extension seamlessly into the landscape, using local natural stone—the same stone used for the farm’s retaining walls. From a distance, the new addition blends harmoniously into its surroundings.
The interior’s color palette was inspired by the original green-tiled stove, which was replaced and refurbished during the renovation. Green and blue watercolor motifs on the wallpaper create a visual bridge between indoors and outdoors. During the reconstruction, part of the ceiling above the living area was removed, creating a brighter, more spacious interior, while a mezzanine above the kitchen provides enough room for a double mattress.
A large built-in wardrobe conceals the fridge and offers ample storage, while the washing machine is integrated into the kitchen cabinets, ensuring full comfort. Thanks to the terrace’s glass railing, residents can enjoy unobstructed views of the surrounding nature, even from the bedroom’s double bed.
